There’s something different about watching surfing when you don’t cut away. I went to Malibu to film a day of waves that were good — not necessarily epic — and decided to try something completely different.
Instead of picking out the best moments, I filmed entire sets from beginning to end, leaving in everything that normally gets edited out. No music. No fast cuts. No highlight reel. Just the waves, surfers, boards, wind, and the natural sounds of Malibu as they happened.
This is what surfing Malibu really looks and sounds like. So sit back, turn up the volume, and experience a surf session without the edits.
