The Snow League is coming back for a second round. Following the success of its inaugural season, the Shaun White-helmed league has announced the dates and locations for its upcoming second season, as well as the introduction of an all-new event.

According to a press release published Wednesday, the 2026–2027 season will feature three regular season Snow League events across North America. Those events will take place at Aspen, Colorado, Park City, Utah, and LAAX, Switzerland.

The new season will also bring with it some format changes. The number of competing athletes will increase from 16 to 24. In additon, the league is updating its three-day competition format to feature both snowboard and freeski competition each day, with the aim of delivering a more consistent competition experience for fans and athletes.

However, before all that, there will also be a brand new event: The Snow League World Challenge. Taking place this September in Cardrona, New Zealand, the World Challenge is an invitation-only event with a team-based format. It will feature 16 Snow League athletes representing four regions: North America, Europe, Asia/Pacific, and emerging next-generation talent from multiple regions dubbed The Challengers.

The Snow League’s first season kicked off in 2026 and featured four events including Aspen, China, and LAAX, with athletes competing for a $2.2 million purse. The inaugural season was won by snowboarders Sena Tomita and Yuto Totsuka, and freeskiers Eileen Gu and Luke Harrold.

“Season One set the foundation,” said White. “With Season Two, we’re expanding and creating new ways for athletes to compete and for fans to engage. From launching The Snow League World Challenge to returning to some of the most iconic venues in the sport, fans should be really excited for what’s in store for Season Two.”
