Between an Olympic gold medal, a world title, and Sports Illustrated photo spreads, Caroline Marks has built a brand that is one of the most recognizable in surfing. Now, perhaps taking inspiration from Jamie O’Brien’s surf school franchise, Marks is leveraging her name and slapping it on a school in a soon-to-open wave pool in Florida.
Marks announced on social media that she’s launching the Caroline Marks Surf Academy at the Point Surf Park in Fellsmere, Florida.
“Whether you are surfing for the very first time or looking to improve your skills, we’ve built an experience that is safe, fun, and designed to help every surfer progress,” said Marks, who is a Florida native.
Even though Marks travels most of the year on the Championship Tour, she promised to remain involved in the school with “special surf experiences and events.” The day-to-day lessons will be managed by someone that she named only as “Stephen.”
The Point Surf Park, located 30 minutes inland from Sebastian Inlet, broke ground in 2025 and is expected to open in 2026. The pool will use Endless Surf technology, which currently exists in wave pools in Munich and Saudi Arabia. The same technology will also power the pool in Utah that will serve as the USA surf team’s Olympic training hub.
Marks is coming off her best result of the season — a third place in Brazil. She enters the back half of the 2026 CT season ranked eighth.
