Albee Layer isn’t a guy who’s going to be screaming his name from the mountain tops in hopes that people will hear him. He’s the kind of guy who lets his surfing do the talking. Not that he’s shy to voice his opinion — he is definitely not — but that he seems to know that his surfing talks louder than he ever could. And it is positively shouting in Changing Seasons Part II, his most recent YouTube offering.
We often see him as a big wave guy. A Jaws guy. A guy who will absolutely send it on the gnarliest wave at the gnarliest spot. He’s an air guy too, but it’s relatively rare that we see just a straight up surfing edit with normal-ish waves from him. But Albee Layer is not only surfing giant Jaws. He surfs regular waves too, just way better than most. And in this edit, we see a handful of days from what he calls “was one of the better weeks of surfing I’ve had in ages.”
