The Inertia

When Malibu is on, it’s on. While it’s most often known as the place to score knee-high peelers and get dropped in on 50-thousand times, under the right swell it can suddenly transform into a world-class wave – where you still get dropped in on 50-thousand times.

This most recent south swell will undoubtedly be remembered in the history of Southern California ocean events. From its beginnings on the other side of the sea, to making landfall in the Golden State, it’s been an embarrassment of riches in terms of surfing content.

We’ve seen a few videos of what that swell looked like at Surfrider (including Hunter Jones taking a run at the pier), but now, courtesy of  the YouTube channel Surfers TV, we have a video of the proceedings that actually do the place justice.

So sit back, relax… and watch people get dropped in on a billion times in fantastic surf.
