One month after telling the world he had a little man called Marty wrapped in his baby mama Sofia Larocca’s protective womb, Italo Ferreira has announced the pair are, as they say, now husband and wife.
Italo, who is thirty-one, shared a carousel of photos of the wedding on Instagram along side Psalms 8:6-7, “Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field.:

While it wasn’t as lavish as the high-water John John Florence/Lauryn Cribb extravaganza from three years ago, you can examine the Vogue photo spread here where we find the couple and their myriad friends dancing the night away under a grand marquee festooned with lights, the happy couple hoisted upon guest’s shoulders, forming a miracle of love against the heavens, Italo’s simple Catholic wedding underscore his new asceticism.
Gone is the wild yella hair, the barking.
Response was positive online. Tom Carroll, Stephanie Gilmore, Erin Brooks, among the well-wishers.
Back to Psalms 8:6-7, the link, I think, to getting married, is the shared stewardship of each other, the promise, like the one apparently made to god a while back, mutual responsibility, shared authority, unity and so on.
